Um, no, "the" fan in question is male & self-identifed as gay: Chris Corker, YouTube celebrity. Check what's being referenced in the video before presuming I don't know the person's gender (or the uses of the word "gay"). Quite right, I used to smoke myself a little before meditation to calm my mind (hard for me to do), it always helped. Lately though, due to personal reasons, I've been smoking alot more and now I've lost the ability to use the drug in a spiritual manner. Just hope I can get it back again.

getting mildly stoned for meditation is really not that bad from my own experience. as a matter of fact in some parts of north india, bhang lassi (do youtube search) which is basically mari-jane yogurt is used in religious ritual to aid in meditation & connect to God. Of course, getting hooked to pot, getting addicted, consuming it on a regular basis is a bad idea i think. these are just my opinion. no flames please.

thanks, the post enabled me to reflect on some things that we as psych workers tend to do: impose our techniques on involuntary participants. This rhythm stuff is definately psych work that may not work well in an audience in which a participant is externalizing alot of unreflected aggression.
