My doberman has a "smile" command, where she flares all her teeth and grumbles and growls. Its hilarious! The whole time she's happy and having fun, which *we* can see, but of course people who don't know our dogs would think she's being vicious. The thing with training is, if you can train a command "on," you can also better control the command "off" for that action. Being able to control aggressive motions like this can help avoid aggression issues later!

It's really annoying how they're pronouncing the breed's name!!!!!! They did this on dog whisperer. It's VIZ-LA! I'm not hungarian and even I KNOW THAT!! Why are they using the E instead of the I? It's so simple. If it was suppose to be "Veeshla" then it would have a E in it!! But anyways, this is such a fantasic breed. My Vizzy named Ruby is just... so funny and will too follow me to the end of the earth.... until she spots another dog! XD

Why is it so important to pronounce it perfectly? I have never seen a native English speaker blaming on me because I couldn't pronounce an English word correctly. Actually I am happy to hear that they know about the origin of the vizsla and they call the dog "hungarian vizsla" instead of "hungarian pointer" however it would be much easier for them.

We have 2 Vizslas and this seems to be the secret. We have a 1 1/2 year old puppy and an 8 year old rescued Vizsla. With 2 they can ran and play with each other at a Vizsla pace which can be fast. The 8 year old isn't as active as our puppy. But he will ran with her and swim with her in our pool. My wife shows the puppy. I love these cats, I have had them since I was three years old. Unfortunately, I must say, they do shed a little bit. Especially where they sleep you will find gobs of it, but it really isn't too severe. The allergy part is somewhat true however. My father is allergic to cats and can stand them, however my grandfather is severely allergic to cats and can't stand them. I think it depends on the person.

well.. my old cat (that still lives with my mom and that Im now alergic too sadly) is a cornish rex. He does shed hair! So two false messages in the video. They aren't alergy-proof and they can shed. But he is very old, 17 years this summer, so the shedding can be because of that.

I think this video is misleading, I breed Cornish Rex and they can cause severe allergic reactions because most cat allergies are from their saliva which is deposited on the fur from cleaning. So they are not hypo-allergenic. They may be easier on some people as very little hair will be floating around. Remember Rex's are very clean and 'lick' their bodies head to toe on a daily basis. So they can still cause very bad allergies. Food for thought

Mine is a rescue, and although she is shy, the breed trait wins out. She is so affectionate and playful. She has the same toy as the cats in this video, her white chipmunk. At 10 years old, she has all her teeth and acts like a kitten. I was warned by the vet that her teeth needed looked after. But I'm not sure she is purebred. Maybe an accident. She has these features, the nose, the ears, the eyes, etc. Her tail is less pointy, and she looks less oriental. Her fur looks black unless in sunlight

I had one when I was 4 years old. We bonded very well, I remember when we used to take our dog for a walk he would tag along. He was unlike any other cat I've seen. We used to interact alot. I've never been able to get that close to another cat. Sad thing is when we moved to Cape Town he was stolen :( I still miss him alot, lol. I really want another, highly recommended.

I agree adoption is best but I can not resist this breed!!

I had one. Loved him. Beautiful cat, or should I say, dogcat. Very talkative, smart, played fetch, followed me on 1 mile walks w/o a leash. I didn't know they were prone to dental problems then, but it's true. One day his teeth just started falling out one by one. I had the vet clean them and it made no difference. It was too late.

They are. XD I got a Havanah Brown last September when he was still a kitten, and he really does grow on you... He grew REALLY rapidly too, and they learn things almost immediately, and are in love with pretty much all people. I mean, I'm not saying they're perfect, but seriously, if you want a cat who will want you back, and one who will actually pay attention to you and want to be around you at all times... I'd recommend this breed.
