I haven't lucid dreamed. Ever. Gonna try out the MILD technique tonight to see if I'm lucky. I've heard lucid dreamers can sometimes change the properties of their dreams to their liking. That sounds great be - almost like playing the Sims, except probably with much, MUCH better graphics.

Oh and being in a dream and actually realising you're dreamng, is kind of a wierd feeling to me. It kind of hard to describe, it was'nt scary or anything though. Yeah i had my first moment of Lucidity yesterday morning during a dream. I did the light switch test. But i was'nt able to make it last very long though. And i was'nt able to do it again last night no matter how hard i tried.:(

I've only have a couple lucid dreams. In one of my repeating dreams the clown from the movie IT was trying to kill me. Then suddenly one night when he was in front of me I said "you're not real, this is just a dream" And I never had it again. Thank god.

I have only done it two times, I went and bought a book on it and it pretty much said the same thing as this video. The first time I became lucid I got so excited that I woke up. The next time I because lucid, it was only for a few minutes, I didn't wake up but I guess I just forgot I was lucid and resumed dreaming like normal...thinking that it was real.

I was telling my son about a theory I have on Lucid Dreaming and how he might try doing it. One night, quite by accident, he found himself in a dream that he thought was waking life where he decided to go to sleep (in the dream) and he had a dream within the dream. In the dream within a dream, he realized he wasn't really awake and immediately became lucid.

you don't need any of this fancy technology. here is the easy steps to learning to lucid dreams: 1) go to bed early 2) be relaxed 3) say to yourself 3 times "I will control my dreams" 4) eventually fall asleep it took me 3 nights before i had my first lucid dream. within a few weeks i was fully capable of controlling my dreams. this means FULL control. you can wipe landscape clean build it up however you like. go to different countries,speak russian whatever.

My experience so far makes me believe that one who is lucid dreaming cannot actually control his dreams but he is just being aware of dreaming as such. The case is that when we are dreaming our muscles relax (what is scientifically called muscular paralysis), preventing us from acting out our dreams and thus possibly injure ourselves. So the only thing we can sense at the time of dreaming is the sound waves.

Flying is my favorite thing to do in my dreams, I do it for enjoyment, But i did something in my dream that i never imagined that was possible in Dreams. I completely transformed a whole world from a horrible world into a complete paradise planet. Almost like heaven except i woke up before i could've explored that really amazing world i created. there are many ways to recognize the dream world from the waking, keep a dream journal and write your dreams down... and constantly question the waking life. Ask yourself while you're awake, "am i dreaming?" check the clock every 30 mins, this will be reflected eventually into the dream world and because its hard to read numbers in the dream world, when the numbers are all scrambled and random, its safe to say that you are dreaming. then you will be able to control it. it takes practice though

I found this particularly interesting. I would also agree that choline appears to improves dream recall, but I'd like to see an experiment done with choline and a placebo. Seeing as the mind produces the whole dream it should of course, be possible to recall it, though that rarely happens. Does choline actually help, or are we spurred on by the belief that we have 'boosted' our memory, and therefore recall more. Is it 'mind over matter' or is the actual presence of choline necessary ...

spinning has never worked for me, but one thing that seemed to do the trick was rubbing my hands together upon becoming lucid, and as long as i focused on the feeling of friction, it kept my focus away from my sleeping body until it everything was just as solid as real life, sometimes even more vivid than being awake. While you do that you can also talk out loud and tell yourself that you will become more lucid, it works =)

I will try your hand suggestion...now I have a question, once you are in a lucid dream, how in the hell do you stop yourself from waking up ABRUPTLY, which has happened during each of my 3 lucid dreams!!! I even remembered whilo I was in the last lucid dream to try spinning like a top!! Sure the dream lasted at least another10 minutes or so, but it also ended right as I was going to make contact with this female! I mean it ended like BOOM!! someone turning a light switch.

yah but the thing is, in most dreams your sense of logic is gone... so you could be doing absoloutely anything that you would never be able to in reality. If you ever have the sense to do a reality check in a dream, then you'll be lucid before you even take the reality check. Ive had dreams about lucid dreaming and yet still not become lucid due to my logic not being there!

a really easy way to make any dream you have a lucid one is by doing a reality test. a doctor told me about this when id have reoccuring nightmares as a kid. basically while your dreaming do something that would prove that the laws of reality arent acting upon you, like cover your nose and mouth and see if you can breathe or try to stick your finger thru the palm of your hand. since i started doing this 9 years ago i havent had anything but lucid dreams.

yeah, i've tried to find these in my area. i couldn't but i haven't tried more then three stores, so i just decided to get some B6 which actually helps a lot because once i take it im pretty much guaranteed to enter a LD. Also if you take a B vitamin take it with Meliton, it'll increase the amount of time spent in REM, thus increasing the length of the LD.

Great, i recently heard that if you spin around in the lucid dream you can extend it, worked a few times for me. I got a few neat trix, i been doin it on n off since 89,, never occured to me until last year that many people did it...It is cooler than any video game ever or what! Sweeet man! Your hair really bothers me in this video for some reason... it's doing some weird loop thing, and I just want to reach through and straighten it. I get lucid dreams just about every night, and I know what you're going on about slipping through layers, although when I go through layers, the dream tends to change environments. I agree with you level zero theory. I've had numerous dreams where i can't become lucid at all, but i know that my actions won't echo into the real world. i've always thought these dreams were strange, but i could never place it. thanks for making the level zero "state" i guess. it makes everything more understandable.

i've heard some people say it can happen but I think the chances are very very very low. If you feel that you're mentally stable I can assure you that you'll be safe with lucid dreaming lol.I could see it happening with a skitzo or something but not for a normal person who can just realize they're dreaming once in a while. just to let you all know. for all the teqnique, the research and the science the only truely effective way to lucid dream is simply to drift into it. the more science you put to it the more restrictions you have. idealy by just drifting you are left with NO RESTRICTIONS. Absolute god like power that can only be acheived by realizing fully how perception is reality. also lucid dreamings origen is completly devoid of science in the first place. and probably it was more powerfull too. thnks though.

Easier than you think. Best technique I've read and used is imagining that there is a force underneath your feet pushing you forwards. It's only as difficult as you think it is. Has worked every time for me (3/3). Good luck.

its wierd and you kind of have to find your own way of doing it but as you begin to fall asleep concentrate on your breathing, you could even try breathing in time to a song in your head. This will help you relax and focus. Also throughout the day take more notice of events and surroundings. Hope this helps :)

The main problem I have is remembering to do it when I wake up. I'll probably put my Dream Journal in front of my alarm so I have to pick it up before I turn off the alarm. I think someone explaining it to me motivated me more than a wall of text on a website did. I am not sure if that makes sense. Taking your tips from your Lucid Dreaming for Beginners video, I actually remember my dreams last night just by writing them down the first thing I did when I got up. They're still kinda fuzzy, but I had a really cool one and I can actually tell you what they're about as opposed to oblivion.
